Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder, which is an all-over color correcting powder, has been a favorite of mine for a while. I love the overall brightening effect it has while helping to keep your makeup looking fresh for most of the day. But the cost of $52 is utterly ridiculous, I mean I could get an eyeshadow palette for that!  So, I went on a search for a dupe.  My first try, was an E.L.F. version that looked somewhat similar, so I thought I would try it.  It was not much of a dupe; it was very powdery and it wasn’t illuminating like the Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder. But with the E.L.F. Studio Tone Correcting Powder only costing $3, it wasn’t a wallet breaking disappointment.

The 2nd test was with NYX’s Radiant Finishing Powder, which cost  $8.99.  This multi-color powder definitely illuminated my skin.  It didn’t do much for helping with the skin tone as it claims, but the brightening properties were awesome! Overall, I would recommend the Radiant Finishing Powder by NYX as a close dupe to Bobbi Brown's Brightening Finishing Powder.  The NYX line, also came in a sun-kissed version, so I can’t wait to try that one.

Overall, aside from these powders brightening, they are marketed to create a balanced and radiant complexion. Furthermore, if you are wondering about the multi-colors, they are not to be worn alone.  The trick is to blend them all together to neutralize the skin.  Each color has its job. For instance, the green neutralizes any redness in your skin, the pink neutralizes grays, yellow brightens and neutralizes any red, and lastly the blue neutralizes orange undertones.

So there, you have it ladies another Barbie's Beauty Bits makeup dupe! And don't forget, if there are any dupes you want to know about or share, just let me know! They are one of my makeup loves! Until next time beauties!
