The 911 On The Perfect Brows, By Barbie's Beauty Bits

Well this is my second post in my "BOW to the BROW" series, and today I'm going to share with you a 2 +1 for brows, by Paula Dorf.  If you are like me,  I am searching for the brow that will last all day long!  While achieving the perfect brow is never easy,  Paula Dorf is famous for unique "trick" products, that offer solutions to every woman's makeup concerns. So, if you have one of those irregular shaped brows, some wild hairs, or even some that are a bit sparse.  I'm here to give you the 911 on how to give some wow to your brows to Perfection!

First and foremost you need to have a plan. Don't just go plucking away or drawing on your brows. Instead, you want to make sure they are proportioned correctly.  Remember, a well shaped brow can make or break a look.

  • To create the "Perfect" brow you want to connect the dots. By placing a dot or slanted line in each corner of your brow, one at the arch...and connect.  See here for more details!
  • Sparsy Marcy? Than you want to dip the Paula Dorf Brush into the brow powder(s) to achieve your color.
  • Proceed to fill in your brows with tiny strokes; think of tiny hairs when applying.
  • Do this in an upward slanted motion with your brow brush.
  • Eyebrows should be their fullest at the inside edges.
  • Line should gradually get thinner as you move past the arch.

Coloring:

One color does NOT fit all.  This is why it is important to choose a color that matches and flatters your eyes and skin tone. Paula Dorf has kits that come in 4 different colors. Each containing 2 flattering colors + 1 light wax. These trio’s help to create a "Perfect" color match and fills in any missing hairs or imperfections, for brows that last all day.

How To Create The "Perfect" Color:

You want to blend BOTH colors in the kit, doing so will help to create your “Perfect” shade.

TIPS:
  • You can apply the darker color to the area with no hairs. And finish with the lighter shade to complete the look.
  • If you have light eyebrows, make your eyebrows one shade darker.
  • If your brows are on the darker side, try to find one close to that color, as you don't want to be here comes the bride brow!

What Did I Receive?

  9. Do you suggest tinting the eyebrows via permanent hair dye? I'm using an eyebrow tint from Etude House and it works great!

    1. I do. The above is just some maintenance on top of what you'd get professionally done. Tinting, helps to save the time with having to fill them in as much. Whether, you have your eyebrows waxed, tinted or threaded, unless you have full perfect brows, maintenance with some kind of brow makeup is essential; especially a setting wax!

    1. I do as well. This is not in place of that. The above is just some maintenance on top of what you'd get professionally done. Whether, you have your eyebrows waxed, tinted or threaded, unless you have full perfect brows, maintenance with some kind of brow makeup is essential; especially a setting wax or serum!

    1. Clean up is essential. I don't recommend plucking or waxing yourself, too many "messes" can happen. And believe me, over the years the hairs don't grow back when needed! However, as I mentioned to a few others who have commented... The above is just some maintenance on top of what you'd get professionally done. Whether, you have your eyebrows waxed, tinted or threaded, unless you have full perfect brows, maintenance with some kind of brow makeup is important!
